Day -1 - Final Day of Civilization and Comfort

Today was our second day in Paris and our final day before taking the train to Saint Jean Pied de Port southern France.

Unfortunately it was raining so, as you do anywhere else when it is raining, we found a laundromat and did our washing. Well I did the washing and Vicki went shopping.

While huddled in the laundromat, I stuck up a conversation with this nice Parisian lady, who was an artist, who invited me back to her apartment. No, not what you think. She had a vacant furnished apartment that was available for rent on a daily basis. It was OK. If anyone wants an apartment in France for a short period at 150 Euros per day, let me know.

When the weather finally cleared we went on our long awaited 20km excursion in Paris to fully test our shoes. No problems.
